At 2-3 of June Sequoia Genetics has represented a project “Multiplex duplex-mediated analysis based on fissionable probes” for the Startup Village competition by Skolkovo. 

This competition has 26 nominations. Sequoia Genetics has been represented in “Innovative medical devices for the diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation” nomination. There were 12 projects at all in this group including Sequoia Genetics project.

Te head of project “Multiplex duplex-mediated analysis based on fissionable probes” Vitaly Vedernikov said:

“In general there were more than 90 applications for the competition of the best innovative projects, but only 4 of them including our project are through to semifinal. We have only 4 minutes to present the main idea of the project, and to prove that this project has big perspectives for realization and should be very profitable both for startup managers and investors.

“Multiplex duplex-mediated analysis based on fissionable probes” – it is base for development test-systems in multiplex-format. It could help us to increase the multiplexing level for qualitative PCR-analysis with detection in real-time up to 6 times”.

The largest Russian event in the field of innovations and business “Startup Village” is the forth in this year. More than 12 000 businessmen, scientists, students, representatives of the investment community from 20 countries were the participants of the Competition.
