The project of company «Vega», a member of the group of companies Alkor Bio,- «The development of a diagnostic form of food-borne contact-type sensitizer implementation» - became a winner of a contest of innovative projects, instituted by the Government of Saint-Petersburg. 

This year the winners will share 10 million rubles of the prize money: half of it would be paid out from the Saint-Petersburg city budget and half – from the federal budget.  

The award ceremony took place on the 14-th of December within the scope of The IX Forum of Small Business Parties of Saint-Petersburg. The diplomas to the best innovators of the year were handed  by the chairman of the Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade Committee – Evgeny Elin. 

The head of the project «The development of a diagnostic form of food-borne contact-type sensitizer implementation» - Ludmila Kochish – mentioned that the elaboration is unique: no other companies in our country develop such tests for allergy diagnostics. 

The method used in the elaboration is aimed for detection of tardy allergy reactions, while standard methods detect only immediate ones.  According to statistics,  half of the food allergy reaction can’t be determined by the existent test-systems.  The contact-type sensitizer test which is being developed can be used specifically in the described cases. It is especially needed for pediatrician, because already in babyhooh it is needed to determine which food can provoke allergy reaction, moreover the earlier it is determined  - the less is the probability of complications appearance. 

It is needed to be said, that innovative projects of group of companies Alkor Bio had already became the winners of this contest. For example, in 2010 «The development of diagnostic system «MB25-CHIP» with application of nanobiotechnology of DNA-biochios for diagnostics of cystic fibrosis and the malfunction of reproductive system».
